American Association of Museums Public Site

The American Association of Museums is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting excellence within the museum community through advocacy, professional education, information exchange and guidance on current professional standards of performance.  To better achieve the organization's goals, the AAM set about redesigning its Web presence and hired Fig Leaf Software to implement an effective CMS in order to provide a more streamlined, effective and easier to manage service to its member museums and the public.

In conjunction with AAM staff, Fig Leaf Software took an already existing design and through discussion and joint decision making, implemented a CMS that has greatly enhanced the member experience whilst still presenting a functional yet contemporary look and feel.  This new CMS implementation has enabled the AAM's members to access online information in a speedier and more effective manner.  Coupled with strong online integration with the association's Association Management System (AMS) this gives their membership increased value.

The implementation project was carried out in strict accordance with a predetermined project plan and was completed on time and under budget.  Constant communication regarding subtle changes and improvements between the two teams made this an extremely timely and smooth execution.  The site is compliant with section 508 accessibility guidelines.

The new AAM Web site, through the CMS implementation and also through the ongoing support provided by Fig Leaf Software, provides a powerful research tool to the members of the museum community and assists them in their continued growth.  In addition, the organization's process of disseminating vital, accurate and up-to-date information to the public is now streamlined.
