Fig Leaf integrated the NEA Intranet Connect logo within the navigation bar and created a single graphic element that contains both the logo and the navigation bar so that all publishers can add this to the top of their table of contents. The new site design offers improved navigation for the various categories offered including: educational issues, state information, references, technical information, government news, publications, meetings and more.
The new home page also makes it easy to find important productivity tools such as contact information and offers access to a searchable database that contains the names, room numbers, units, and email addresses of all current NEA employees and affiliates. A what's new area of the site shows users the latest additions to Connect. With access to the calendar system, users can suggest an event. A classifieds section offers users the ability to post announcements, car pools, for sale items, help wanted, lost & found, non-profit fund raising, tickets, travel, and etc. A quick takes section of the site allows users an easy way to find everything the association has said or done on a particular issue. A link to www.nea.org makes it easy for users to quickly toggle to the associations public site, and other tools are available to allow users to change their password, connect to the Web based email system and more.
Fig Leaf also created banners to be used on the Intranet site to promote news conferences, blood drives, and other information.
