National Education Association
Solutions: Google Site Search Consulting and Deployment

NEA Google Site Search Example

The National Education Association hired Fig Leaf Software to consult the organization on best practices form implementing Google Site Search on the organization's public Web site.  The organization's IT staff desired to get up and running with Google Site Search quickly and wanted to take advantage of best practices to ensure that they would get the most benefit from GSS.

Fig Leaf's Certified Google Enterprise Professional team worked closely with the NEA IT team to determine the organization's needs for the new Google Site Search solution.  As part of the consulting engagement, Fig Leaf created a deliverable document to outline the basics of gaining access to Google Site Search administration tools, discuss which sites were chosen to be included and excluded from the search, and provide an overview of the indexing and site maps which were created for NEA.

In addition, Fig Leaf worked with the NEA to create more than sixty promotions, highlights associated with a term entered by a user in the search box, which can be managed in bulk via XML files or via the GSS interface for one-at-a-time editing.

Fig Leaf continues to work with the NEA to further refine the results and analyze the results of their move to Google Site Search.
